If you named your rendered tracks the same as your BIAB file (e.g. file.mgu plus file.wav) then the file.wav is always going to get played as the audio track. I have gotten burned by that myself in the past... You make some changes (or try to mute parts) and you find that you have "extra" parts :-)

As for drums being lower volume, I have found that I have to use the adjustment in the settings dialog for realdrums to bump them by a couple of dB to make them equal to the other tracks, or I have to boost them in audacity to use them in other projects.
