BBG, one thing i want to add. If you have hums and sound issues with the edirol, and Tannoy speakers you have other issues. I have M-Audio monitors on my m- audio card, and i would never in a million years think of mixing music on Cheapo computer speakers again. Those are the one i hear hum and buzz and bad audio in. Good monitors like Tannoy should be clear and clean.

No one thinks you are recording with a logi cam, but you did tell us you use a logitach mike. As far as taking audio seriously. If I don't take mine serious, who else will. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. No one here means to belittle you, we want to help. But if you do not take it serious, why should we. You want to record and get good results, but do not want to really make the effort to do what folks suggest.

I can't imagine using a computer that had been damaged by a electrical surge, to the point that stuff was not functioning properly, then ask folks to help me fix a problem. That is like towing a broken down car to a garage and asking for an oil change.

You get the level of results from the level of effort put into it. Rebuild your system so it is fully functional, and then let's all dig in and solve any leftover problems.
