I can't figure it out. I've entered chords in bars 1 through 17. I'd like to copy this sequence and paste it to bars 18 thru 34. When I click COPY I get the dialog box with from and thru options. But each option has three boxes to fill and I don't know how to use them. Similar situation with the PASTE command. What are the three boxes for?

I sometimes get the chords pasted but then can't get RB to generate the MIDI sequence.

Any ideas for me please? (I wish we had REPEATS as in BB).

Highlite the section, using the 'Bars' window is a good way to select whole measures.
Easy way is to highlite the first measure in the Bars window, then hold the Shift key down and click on the last measure you want, this causes everything in between to be selected.

Once highlited, click Edit-copy and make sure there is a checkbox in the 'Chords' option before copying.
Copy, then paste where you want it.

I think the three boxes you are referring to are where you want to paste it.
They will default to wherever the cursor is in the song.
If you copy bars 1-17, you'll likely want to paste it at 18-1-0 where 18 is the measure, and 1 is the first beat, and the sero is how many ticks after the beat (this will vary depending on resolution, but zero is the beginning of the measure).

If they do get repeats into RB, I hope they don't work like BiaB..

Let me say this. The cut/copy/paste is still messed up. You'll be alright copying to the end of a song however if you have a song set up as verse ,chorus and decide you want another verse before the choruses when you copy the first verse and paste it in after the first verse all the part markers get messed up. I've tried everything and it's broke. This has been reported to Jeff but not fixed.

Thanks, guys.

rharv: I think you answered a basic part of my question, if in a round-about way. The three small boxes I get in the COPY window apparently allow me to specify the Bar, beat, and tick count where I want to start the copy (and to end the copy). Not being a real musician, I don't really know what a TICK is but I can sort of infer a definition.

I still haven't figured it all out but I'm working on it!!

Ticks are dependant on the resolution you are using. In options-resolution there is a resolution setting. Whatever this number is, that how many divisions of each beat there are (for exactness).

It defaults to 120, so a whole beat is 120 ticks (0-119)
A half beat would then be 60 ticks (0-59)
etc

I believe you can go all the way to 3840 ticks per beat.. if you set the resolution that high.

Thanks, rharv. That's what I figured but without knowing about the default setting. So now I know.Frank
