Thanks, Peter. I did save the style under a different name and it does still say Pedal Steel for strings. You might want to try this yourself, as I described, because it seems to be a bug. When I import (in StyleMaker) the Guitar from _DRVCBAL.STY into the String Track of _CBALAD.STY, all the numbers in the measures boxes in StyleMaker do change so it is importing something. It just doesn't finish the job.
Thanks for the tip on using the RealTrack Assign dialog. That's a nice tool. Unfortunately it doesn't let me replace a String Track with a Guitar Track. I wanted to keep the Guitar Track in _CBALAD.STY
Anyway, I remembered that I can select the 803 Electric Rhythm Guitar as a soloist so that's a good work around for this.
