I have only been a band in the box user for 1 week but I have already used it to 'compose' 24 backing tracks that I plan to use at live gigs starting next month(I am a backing guitarst and add backing vocals to the lead singer). I think its absolutely brilliant. One thing however I did notice that would be certainly VERY useful to me as a 'live' user would be the facility to highlight a number of bars and set a background colour for the highlighted cells. For example, I could set an intrumental part to light Turqoise and a Chorus part to pale yellow and this would be done on the main chord entry/default screen. As far as shading of the cells goes, User of Microsoft Excel will know what I mean.
