Many companies will to this. Seems like a good idea as not everyone continually hovers over this forum.

Since I purchased BIAB 13 years ago, I've received e-mails and snail mail about every up-grade. I assumed that all registered users received e-mails. No? Later, Ray

Same here. I get emails and snail mail also.
When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"

I just looked in "My Home and Settings". There there are some options to receive emails for a number of forum-related things, but not for updates. Anyone know how to trigger this?

Kelso, I don't know. There is an option, "From time to time we send out emails regarding this community. Do you wish to receive these emails?" which I have set to "Yes" but I do not receive emails about updates. I regularly check the home page where the updates are listed, but an email notice would be nice.

I am willing to create a list and mail out update. I check the update page fairly regularly and am on the forum daily so I generally know when updates are posted the day or the day after. If you PM me I will set up a mailing list, you will need to provide me with an email address, not you PM address on the forum, but a real email address.
Please also bear in mind that our PM mai boxes are quite small so dont everybody PM all at once, or at least keep in mind that if you get a message that my box is full, you will have to update me againg in a day or two. I will send an email back to the address you send and will add you to the update list when I get a confirming reply.
Please note:
I do not work for PGMusic. I am just a user and forum member who is willing and able. I have asked PGMusic for any guidelines or concerns they might have. I will not send you other unsolicited emails, and I will not sell your email to others.

*All one has to do is bookmark the Update page and make a habit of checking it out periodically. At least once a week.
*Note that updates typically happen fast and furious right after a release of a new version, I tend to check that update bookmark daily during these periods.

Thats what I do too. I noticed that some of the reqesters indicated they are only on the forum occassionally, others some other reason. I go there, I can set up a button to email when an update hits so it is not a big deal to do.

I get emails about new releases, but when a new patch becomes available I'd like to get that as an email.
Usually someone here posts it on the forum, but the email way is better.
