I have an old keyboard with a headphone out but doesn't have an auxillary input to allow you to play along with another music source, like an mp3 player.

Can I simply connect both the output of the keyboard (headphone out) and the output of an mp3 player (headphone out) into a "Y" connector to listen to them both simultaneously headphones , or will the output of one of them go into the output of the other (besides going to the headphones) and possibly damaging the equipment?

Thanks
K
