While this is already an engaging song, I feel there is some room for improvement.
A lot of the time I’m feeling something more needs to happen.
Either a really authoritative lead vocal, or failing that, more variation and bite in the instrumental backing, which reminds me a little of those ‘sequencing’ keyboards you used to get (probably still do) where you change the l. hand chord and the pattern stays the same but with a different chord.
I’m sure you could let rip a bit more on the vox – you have the tone and I’m sure you have the control and feel to do so, particularly on your own song.
And/or a few judiciously chosen hooks or fills in the gaps between the lines would be a positive change.
I hope you do find the time for a rework as the lyric and song structure have strong potential.
