If I create a chord sequence/song and then choose an accompanying style/tempo, etc and then export the resultant finished product to midi will the drums that BIAB added for the accompaniment show up as separate midi-tracks e.g. I will see separate snare midi track, separate kick track, etc. If this is not the default, how could I make it happen?

Hi Arlesterc,
Welcome to the forums.
There is only a single channel reserved for MIDI drums; namely, channel 10 (or channel 15 on Yamaha products). For this reason, all drum parts will be written to that single channel.
Maybe if you could explain, in a little more detail, why you require drum instruments on their own channel, someone might be able to offer an alternative approach to get to your required end result.

When you click on the MIDI button in BIAB to export to MIDI, you will see a choice for exporting drums to different tracks. Then, when you load the MIDI file into your favorite DAW, you'll see every drum instrument on a separate track (of course, all will be on MIDI channel 10, but they are on different tracks).
Also, if you use RealBand, there is a command there to split MIDI drums. So you can get it coming and going.

Thanks for the super-quick reply. Just to make sure - you are referring to the auto-accompaniment drums that BIAB fills in for me when I pick a style/tempo - they are dumped to separate individual kit items - as opposed to some individual drums that I might have manually entered?

Yes. When you click "play", BIAB generates an arrangement (which changes slightly everytime you hit "play"). Assuming you are using a MIDI (versus RealTracks style), you can split out each of the the drum instruments onto its own track when you export to a MIDI file.
And obviously this does not work at all with RealDrums (which are audio recordings), not MIDI.
I'm not sure what happens to individual drum parts you've entered, you would have to try it and experiment to see what that does.
