I would suggest leaving ie9 installed and use the browser you like best.

I have used Firefox for years and like it - BUT, sometimes pages don't show correctly on certain sites for me and reading and navigating are impossible. If I then load the same page in ie, all is fine. So I grudgingly keep ie9 in my Start Menu.

BTW, I have heard ie critics suggest that ie9 is really quite good and proclaim that ie is back in the game.
