I find that if I have Garageband open first and then load BB, I can't load my last song with real tracks....It starts to generate tracks, then hangs and shuts down.... If I then close Garageband, I can't open the project in BB again unless I load a different project and then go back and load the one I wanted. It seems to work then...
Just a heads up...
Hmm, I tried this and it works fine on my iMac. Could you perhaps have some sort of Audio device in the chain? I have had several programs all accessing the same midi ports, Finale, BinaB 2011, Garageband. Never a crash.
And maybe check out your drive to see it has free space, and maybe check the integrity of the drive using Disk Utility.
Also, the crash reporter thing usually tells you what Thread(s) crashed, that would be helpful.
