OK. I don't see a problem here. When you take the guitar lower, the timbre changes and you might think it's a bass guitar, but that sounds normal to me.

A lot depends on the quality of whatever you are using to play your MIDI sounds. On the better hardware or software synths, you would not notice as much difference in the tone quality when you go lower as you might on, for example, a RealTek built-in soundcard running the Microsoft MIDI Mapper as the choice of MIDI Output Driver. MIDI has no sound of its own; the better the soundcard or software synth, the less objection you should have to the sound.
