Some RealTracks have notation, and some do not. You can tell in several ways:

In the RealTracks picker window, instruments with an "N" in the Chart column will display the RealTrack in notation. In the instrument button, a green line underneath the instrument name indicates notation.

Real Instrument charts: If a track has a RealChart, the track name is green and underlined with a short line.

RealGuitar charts: If a track has RealChart, and is a guitar track with accurate tab and on-screen guitar fretboard display, then it is green and underlined with a long line.

If the RealTrack has notation, you can see it without having to move that track to the Soloist track, although you could do so with the Edit, Copy/Move Tracks command. In the dialog that opens, select Bass as the Source Track, and then choose the Melody or Soloist as the target track. Once you do this, you will probably want to Mute the original bass track.

Note that if you just loaded a song, you have to Play the song first before you see any notation.
