I don't think it is an Operating System thang, but more a Sound card driver thang. Back on my XP I hade an external Sound Blaster for which I could easily find a "record what you hear" feature in the drivers, but over in my new Win 7 I installed an M-Audio Audiophile 192 and getting it to "record what you hear" was simply a pain. If I was able to do it once, I could not figure out how to do it a second time.

So I install the free download (limited to 100 secs of record) here on my Win 7, pushed the record button and it recorded from my speakers with no further setup on my part. I'm impressed - thanks for the referral.
