And as in previous years, the whole thing was ruined by the unashamed neighbour voting by the former Yugoslavian and USSR countries. The representatives from each country delivering these ludicrous block votes themselves squirm with embarassment as they deliver maximum votes to a neighbour's lame song that was until that point near the bottom of the score board. No regard is paid by these countries to the relative merits of the songs; they just automatically vote for their neighbours. What I don't understand is how the fragmented old Yugoslavian countries vote for each other when only a few short years ago they were murdering each other in the streets and burning down their houses. And Ukraine gives Russia maximum votes when the latter did everything to prevent democracy in the former including poisoning their leader!
