I have changed various settings in the RealBand Audio Driver setup without success. Following up on a Post in the Creative Forum which indicated that the "What You Hear" driver is disabled by default in Windows 7. I opened the Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Manage Audio Devices > Record and found that the information was correct and changed the setting to the make "What You Hear" the Default Input Driver. Whatever driver was actually used previously, I don't know, but this change was no more successful than any other.

I had reached the conclusion that this was a sampling problem and changed all the settings to 48K to test the theory. It worked - the Audio In Driver "What You Hear" actually records at 48K. I now have two options to either use MME drivers at 48K or change back to 44.1K and use the ASIO driver which does work at this rate. At least the problem is solved.
