I find no problems with changing Tempos in Midi tracks.
Try the brutal method to confirm whether or not the Tempos do change. Go into the Tempo Map and insert a massive change every 8th Bar doubling and halving the base Tempo and see whether or not this works. I have tested with a start of 115 followed by 25, 150, 50 then 115 with a steady slow down over the next 8 bars. Don't forget to close the Tempo Map and then open up the Main Tracks Window and look at the Bar spacing across the top which reflects the changes in timing. This worked as expected - if your system doesn't then I would suggest a reinstallation may it may be necessary or rename two folders in your RealBand Folder "RealBand.ini - config 3Kb and RB.CFG 7Kb" by adding OLD to the names and reopen RealBand to reset the program settings.
