I think yours is a fine suggestion; however, I think the problem is how the two programs work. BIAB is a tool designed mainly for listening, whereas RealBand is a tool for recording.

Although, BIAB appears to render RealTracks faster, it really doesn't. It just starts playing the song while it is still rendering the rest of it in the background. That's why you sometimes run into problems when you hit play and then stop and try to do something right away.

RealBand, on the other hand, renders the entire piece before letting you play it.

That being said, maybe PGMusic could allow for a time-limited rendering of styles (maybe even with your chord progression). Perhaps 15 seconds or so. I would think that could render pretty quickly, and give you a taste of what the style sounds like. Just a thought.
