Hi All, Rharv
Ok, so simple splitting a track does not exist in real band.

I don't think there is a command on the menu labelled "SPLIT A TRACK" but I think you can split the track in the audio edit window.

The procedure is:
1) double click on a track to open it in audio edit window
2) click the button at the top of the audio edit window to hilight the whole track
3) shift-click at the place where you want to divide the track. (see note below)

After splitting you can drag the two parts to different locations if there are tempo issues
(control-click-drag the hilited segment)

I just discovered this recently, and I LOVE this feature! It is a great way to fix timing issues on passages I play directly into the song myself. The Real Tracks are always perfectly timed, so if my playing is not, it stands out noticeably. Until discovering this I was exporting tracks and fixing them in other software then bringing them back into RB which was a real hassle. This is just another of the many features that makes RB/BIAB one of the most user friendly music apps I have found.

NOTE: this just works on one track at a time. If you tried it on multiple tracks one at a time, you would probably introduce timing errors between the tracks. RHarv's suggestion is the easiest way to divide all tracks in the song at exactly the same place at the same time.
