Hi Bob Y. I use an EWI USB wind controller, however I do not use it in BiaB but the set up should be the same regardless. Included in the EWI USB was a manual and an editor program called Akai EWI USB. If you haven’t installed it do so. Open the editor and under tools are preferences for selecting your input and output devices and EWI configuration, which you can adjust various parameters such as wind volume, pitch bend, fingering etc. Just experiment to see what are the best settings for you. But sure to save your settings. The manual will explain everything you need to know about the settings.

Also be sure to set your BiaB inputs and outputs accordingly and be sure to check BiaB’s midi controller features.

I’m assuming that your SD2 does respond to CC2, i.e. breath control. If it does you may have to set it up accordingly. If it doesn’t you may have to set the breath controller #2, called breath CC2 in the editor, to either CC11 or CC7. I would suggest you use CC11 and set your master volume with CC7.

I hope this helps and good luck.

It's called the Heineken Maneuver.
