Hello, there, every little ol' body...

What's buzzin', cousins? Here's the low-down.

On a particular song, when I choose a Real Piano track, it seems that BIAB (which stands for Belligerently Intelligent Artificial Brain) is overriding my choice and substituting another Real Piano track that is similiar to the one that I chose, but at a different tempo. It doesn't sound bad. It's just that I would like to keep my first choice. S'free country, ain't it?

Then, I gazed into the swirling depths of BIAB's crystal ball -- consulted the help file, that is -- and read the following: "If you have similar RealTracks available at different tempos, Band-in-a-Box will automatically choose the best one to use. A "Y" for "yes" in this column means that the RealTracks instrument supports tempo swapping".

Well, bust my britches and bless my soul! But...If I dared to try to defeat that Most Holy, Grand and Exalted Swapper of Tempos, how would I do it? The song is a jazz waltz playing at a tempo of 125 bpm. The Real Piano track I selected plays at 140, and BIAB says "So, ya’ think yer smart, huh? Take THAT!" and smacks me upside the head with a track playing at 110. Hey, it's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

Thanks-a-roonie, o-vootie!
