Hope this helps . . . click "Opt" then "preferences" then "display" and from here you can eliminate the Paino Keyboard and also have a few options with the toolbar. You can also adjust the number of bars displayed. This will get you more room on the screen but you will have to wait for another response to help you with splitting the screen. I would think there is a way, I just have never used it this way.
