All these years and I have only recommended one sound card- in my opinion the best, most full featured and most stable of the bunch. The king of sound cards, imo.

My friends, it does not get any better than that card. It'll hold you now, and allow for expansion in the future. There are a lot of choices, but all of them are just a compromise for the ultimate 9652.

Now, you could get the same great card scaled back a bit for less bucks-

But if you have any plans for a more elaborate routing setup, spring for the full card right away. It's also better for midi if you get the full card.

Pro card all the way, hands down, over and out. Pristine sound and ultra low latency. I don't screw around with sound cards. I do it once and do it right cause they're a pain to make happy should you need to switch it out down the road. Good luck.
