Hello Fred,

Your melody can be different in each of the repeats or choruses. The notation window will always show you all of the bars in your song, and you can enter the melody there using your mouse, or record it in. If you had 2 bars repeated 8 times, your song would be 16 bars long and the notation window would show you all 16 bars, allowing you to enter a different melody in each repeat.

For your first example, you could start by typing out your 32 bars, entering your melody, etc. If you need to display the repeat signs, you could set that up at the end, just making sure that "Generate new bars" is unchecked.
