And it is much cheaper than Camtasia. Don't know how it compares, but it is packed with features for sure.

It has lots of features to make and edit movies. For making videos, tutorials, or whatever, I like this.
Downloaded the trial version and gave it a test run. Nice IMO.

Can record screen activity, can edit movies, merge them, cut them into pieces, convert to Flash or Windows Media format, save and load projects to continue your work, add text, captions, pictures, audio, separate audio, save audio as separate file, change video speeds at anyplace in the movie, resize them, and many more features.

Made a little test drive video, converted to WMV format, using only video, no audio, to reduce file size:

This video I made has watermarks in corners, because it is using the free trial version.
For me it was quick and easy to do, for a beginner to the program.
