Finally got another new song released. Again, it took about a year. I'd like to claim I prefer quality over quantity (but I won't).

It's an up tempo country tune called "All Around Texas". I wrote this over 10 years ago. I was listening to a BIAB country style backing track a couple of months ago and it brought the song back to mind. I've never even lived in Texas, but grew up in Arkansas near it. I do have a pair of cowboy boots, but they don't have any dried "stuff" on them.

I wrote the lyrics, mixed everything on my Yamaha 16 track DAW and sang the vocals. For the first time on one of my songs, I didn't play any instrument. It was all done by "The Hog Time Pickers" (aka BIAB).

I started with style "TEXSWGP Ctry sw, w/ped. steel"
374 acoustic guitar, rhythm
NashvilleSwing8^2, SideStick-Ride
MIDI 33 acoustic string bass (the only non-RT track)
371 pedal steel

Then modified it as follows:
Replaced pedal steel with 622 pedal steel
Added 410 electric guitar, rhythm
Added 412 electric guitar, soloist

With this song done, I'm going to put out a CD with 11 originals and 3 covers. Probably will look into get it mastered at some "medium price level" place (suggestions welcomed). Doubt if I'll sell any, but it will be an item checked off my "Bucket List".

Thanks for listening,
