Since upgrading to Realband 2011.5, I can no longer "right click" and Generate a midi track.
I get a message saying "Midi track was not found in current style.....".
This happens no matter what style I have loaded, even styles with all midi tracks.
Anyone else find this problem?

I had the problem last night too. I didn't play around with it though to see if it was part of a larger problem. From what you say, it seems like it might be.
I suggest letting support know about this and to send them the link to this thread so that they can monitor what other people's experiences are.

I have tried this with Norton Styles as these are all MIDI and cannot get any Midi tracks produced. Definite BUG.

Yes I have found the same thing tried several styles /tracks always get the same message.
“Midi track was not found in current style.....”

Reinstalled 2011.5 and still doesn't work. Reinstalled 2011/4b and it works fine.

It worked for me during beta for this issue, I'll have to try again when I get home on the final release version.

Just reinstalled the BETA and it doesn't work there either.

If I have the first 8 tracks as BB tracks and tell it to generate all it properly generate all the MIDI tracks in the first 8 tracks. If I rt click on say track 10 and say generate DRUMS it gives the message "Midi track was not found in current style.....". Even though it just generated it in the BB tracks at the top. Weird.As I said 2011 works as it should. I even reverted BIAB back to 2011/318 to see if that was it and it's not.

You're right John, once I got RB opened I realized you were right; I generated all BB tracks, not a single track so it does need attention right away.

Try like track 9-48 rt click and select generate MIDI track. That's what's the real issue.

Confirmed here too. I rebooted twice, closed/reopened RB several times and tried several different songs using all kinds of different styles. None of that matters, the yellow box says the instrument is not part of the style. Rebuilding the styles didn't help either. RT/RD's are ok.
Another related point, when I first open the program and click on the style box or right click a track to select the midi I get another yellow box saying "initializing auto accompaniment functions". That's wrong too unless that's a deliberate change because now I'm not seeing the Biab screen flash when RB first opens. It makes sense I guess if they think many people don't use auto accompaniment in RB so they've decided to not have that initialize upon opening?
Ok, now that I'm focused on the midi functions, RB won't extract a type O midi file to separate tracks. I get the box asking if I want to do that, I say yes but nothing happens.
It appears all the midi stuff is messed up.

I've been getting this since 2011 on the first song of a session.
If I open a "new" blank screen with the first 8 tracks are BB tracks,open an all midi style & click the BB button the first 8 tracks will have the midi parts as usual. If I then rt click on track 9 and say "generate MIDI track" I get the "Midi track was not found in current style....." even though it's up there in the first 8 tracks. i emailed Peter and received an acknowledgement of the email so we'll see.

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing.
