Hi All

I may be way off on this one so bear with me please.

I produce my music basically within Cakewalk Sonar 8.5.3.

One of the features that I find that works so well with this DAW is a feature called "Instrument Definitions" (ins. files).

It seems to me that when I first was setting up my Sonar software with these ins. files, they were very easy to install and seem to work flawlessly.

But I'm asking myself, "Are they one of the same with just a different file name (ins. as opposed to *.PAT or INI. files)?

This Patch Map(Yamaha MO6/8) is giving me a headache! After importing it, the instrument names in BIAB do not match the instrument sounds at all!!
Is this because of the "incorrect" construction of the patch maps I'm trying to use? (Which was found on the PG Music website)

I know there is a tutorial on how to create these somewhere on this site.
I would be willing to take the time to create one if it's attainable.
I'm a bit skeptical only because no one has done this sooner, and this keyboard is one of the more popular synths around today.

Anyway, I'm just looking for some feedback on this subject.

I love this BIAB 2011.5 UltraPlusPak software. It really is very useful and has come an incredibly long way from my last BIAB 2007!

I just want to be able to intergrate the tools and abilities of this software with my Sonar software as efficiently as I possibly can.

Thanks,

Harpo
