I found the answer and can consistently duplicate it.
Open a .wav or MP3. Then use the ACW to analyze the chords. Set bar 1 & send to RB. Now highlight a track say 4 bars and generate a RT and see what happens.
John, I think the common factor here is tempo change. I'm guessing that when you send the song back from the ACW the process is also introducing a tempo change into the song.
Try this: create a simple song from scratch and select a Realstyle. Insert a tempo change at some point in the song. Generate all BB tracks. Play it back, and everything should be fine, including the section with the tempo change. Now, select say 4 bars in one of the Realtracks and try re-generating only these 4 bars. You will find that tempos in the selected region are not followed, and also you'll see some blank measures added after the selected region.
This is a major issue that hasn't yet been fixed.
