Many of my oldest friends are farmers, and we share an interest in big motorcycles, pickup trucks, firearms, snowmobiles - rednecks, Canadian-style.
Three of us were sitting at table, one night, arguing the merits of our chosen brand of pickup truck; mine was an old Dodge, and the two other fellows favoured Ford and General Motors respectively. The three trucks were parked out in the yard, and each of them ran remarkably well, considering the year - and considering the fact none of us had any formal education in auto mechanics.

Bottom line after some heated discussion: it's not the truck that matters, it's who's looking after it that counts.

(and thirty years later, I still prefer Dodge trucks... )
