Windows sticky keys. I got caught by that just last year for the first time since I started XP.
I was holding down a key while I was thinking of what to type next and things were turned on forever.
The Control key really made it hard to get out of things and the shift key also made me crazy. In 9-10 years I never came across sticky keys and when I did, I was glad I had anonter PC to look up how to turn it off.
Becuase I couldn't do a search or scroll a web page while the control key was on. Everything just highlighted.

The P could be a hotkey for something. There is a one letter keystroke in either Yahoo or Gmail that marks an Email as read. So if you hit it while typing in the wrong place, you don't get the letter. It just keeps toggling the Email. I disabled the keystoke shartcuts. But I could be a Kaystroke for something.

I've hit keys and wound up in another galaxy.
Call support. Might be a bug too.
