Copy/paste the sections you like to a new track, that's how most of us do it so when you use effects you can just use them on the one track. Otherwise you'll have reverbs and compressors running on multiple tracks for no reason.
Or you can go into the pianoroll window and draw volume changes to turn them all the way down and back up when desired. Assign CC #7 (volume) to the pianoroll.
You can also record the mixer moves to accomplish this, but it is a bit more cumbersome.
