I would like a button (BB) that would lower the solist volume by 1/2. Press it again and it would go back to original set volume. Music is mixed so that the solist plays in the cracks where there is no vocals. A button would make this chore a lot easier than trying to move the slider with a mouse. I've used the slider and it's not easy and not accurate because usually there's not enough time to make the soloist just appear in the cracks. Sure I could use the mute function but that cuts out the soloist completly instead of moving it back into the mix
I think....set the soloist volume to the max level that you want by using the slider volume....then when you want it back in the mix just click the button. Back and forth...Back and forth.
That floating mixer is great!

What you want is a button for 'ducking'.

The best way to do this is either as Mat said using ducking, which involves a compressor with side chaining, or use a automation feature. RB has more options for this.
In BiaB this would be cool, but harder to implement.
Interesting idea.
