David, there is precedence for your idea, although it was well back in the MIDI-only days: we had a User-Requested styles disk (including a few of my suggestions).

J. Larry, as long as you don't mind the cautions about missing RealTracks, you can just delete the folders of RealTracks you will never use. I assume that's what you mean by "loading in the first place", onto the hard drive. [RealTracks do not load into memory unless specified in the song, so they do no harm except take up space on the hard drive.]

The way to "avoid loading them in the first place" would be to do an install of only the program, then a manual copy of only the RealTracks folders you want from the source /BB/RealTracks folder into your new one. Then copy all the .ST2 and .XT2 files from the source hard drive in the /BB folder to your new /BB folder. You could use a utility like I do (Total Commander) or two Windows Explorer windows. I do this process with my laptop and its small hard drive. It does take quite a bit of time for the copying.
