In BIAB 2009,

the song, when created is 3:22, but when rendered the resulting WAV file is double like 6:44

I tried, and it happens on all songs Ive created.

Why? After the 3:22 time mark, the player plays a blank.. it is playing but no sound.

There is a mysterious blank portion that is appended to my WAV songs..

Any help is appreciated..

The save one file per track is ON.

the separate tracks are of correct duration.

The rendered combination is twice as long with blank portion..

How do you structure your songs? It sounds like you might have the number of choruses set to 2. On the right hand side of the tempo speed are three buttons.
  • The left-most button tells BIAB where your chorus starts (note, this not the same as the chorus of a song; from BIAB's viewpoint, a chorus is "once through a song before being repeated").
  • The centre button sets the number of bars in a chorus of the song.
  • The right-most button sets the number of choruses. You probably need to set this one to "1"

Noel

Have you tried "return to factory settings?"

That might do the trick.

I read in another post that maybe it is some Midi stuff that got into the song that occurs after the ending. Check in the event list and see if you can find anything.

I had the same problem this afternoon when I rendered an all-RealTracks song. It was rendered as a WAV file that had music for the correct length and then silence for an equal amount of time.

I had unchecked the boxes that say "Include 2 bar lead-in" and "Include Drum Count in"

When I did another render and then checked the two boxes above, BIAB rendered a Wav file of the correct length with the two bar drum count-off.

You could see if you get the same result.

This might need to be fixed in the next build

I found the solution:

1. Yes, returning to factory settings cured it.

2. I later found out that if in Rendering to WAV, if you "uncheck" the "Include lead in bar" it causes the problem. So, I now have this checked on. (this appear in Biab 2009 bec it wasnt there in 2008)

I also had the problem of long WAV rendering using BIAB 2009. (See above)
But returning to "factory settings" did NOT fix the problem for me.

I was only when I made sure to check "Include 2 bar lead-in" and "Include Drum Count in" That Biab rendered a WAV of the correct length.
