I'm using BB to create audio back up tracks for live performance and am disappointed with the way some real instruments just die off on the 2 bar endings (guitar primarily). There must be a way to allow for the ending chord to play out it's full resonance, even if it needs to go beyond the bar ending. My only choice is to eliminate that instrument that's wrecking the ending.

Why not have a choice of endings, some allowing chords to ring on, and some with more abrupt endings, with appropriate drum fill endings? I'm sure for those using BB to just practice along to it's not that critical, but to me it is.

real band endings problem

Hello,
I'm not an expert on this, but it seems to me I've done it in the past: Try dragging the Tracks View note with your mouse, out to the desired distance. If that doesn't work, try going into the notation window and creating some longer notes there. I'm pretty sure you can get good results doing one or the other. Personally, I tend to lean toward the notational changes. I know that notes get positive results. smiles. Hope this helps.

The best way to get the endings to sound better is how you end the song. As for myself I don't use the 2 bar ending gizmo. I make my own. In that way I have complete control over it. For an example, however, you might try using this type of ending on your songs:

|A..._____|________|________B.| Ignore the underline characters here. I just used them to make separations. According to his visual your last note would be an A sustained. It would sustain for 2 more bars then end at the end of the 3rd bar. Since I never use the 2 bar ending I don't know how this would work on that. But if you make your own 2 bar ending then you won't have a problem and the note will sustain out for however many bars you wish, ending with a rest note. (B in this case)

Hope that helps.

I use the same method Russ with a little extra . I use the ending and the hold chord too . Unfold to 1 chorus when the ending comes to the hold I paste it from the held chords (A... hold 3 bars) that came before the ending. Add a shot after the hold chord too sometimes.
