It should NOT overwrite another mono track in my opinion. Especially without asking. Not getting that third question is an issue too, IMHO.



Well Bob I can make it behave the way you say but in practice I'd never be doing what makes it behave that way. I would never use a stereo source to do a punch in to an existing mono track.If I'm going to do some sort of addition to the tune and use the punch feature for convenience then I'd do it on an empty track & things move down.
IMHO there are a lot of things I guess ways we could make the program falter not using typical practices..
