I've only ever used, or tried to use, it on a vocal track to midi-fy the melody line. Always found it overly sensitive, and suspect my voice may not be melodic enough.  If anything, as rharv indicates, you need to lessen its sensitivity. But the cleaner the audio track the better. Ian
