I am trying to change a song setup and make the song repeat back to bar 1 of the intro. I go to the menu and change the repeat bar to 1 then press play which regenerates the realtracks (tracks are unfrozen) and absolutly nothing changes. What am I doing wrong any ideas????????

The "bar for beginning of chorus" defaults to a value of 1 in a new song, so unless you changed it, there would be no difference. [This is the number in the little box to the right of the tempo.]

What menu are you referring to, where you change the repeat bar to 1?

There are three numbers to control the layout of the song: The starting bar, the ending bar, and the number of repeats.

If your intro starts at bar 1, the verse starts at bar 9, and the song is, say, 36 bars long, so it ends at 36...if you enter 1, 36, 2 in the numbers, then the song will play from bar one to 36, then repeat bars one to 36 and end (with a 2 bar ending, if that's set).

The song would then include the intro, verse, and refrain (chorus) all as one "chorus"

Did you do that, or something different?

Originally the chorus came back to bar 9 which was where the intro ended. I changed the 9 to 1 and regenerated the song and nothing changed

What version of band in a box.

It works fine, as to what you want to do, you just need to read the above and figure it out.

This should be visible by the repeat markers in the chord sheet. Does the beginning and return markers appear where you want them? Works here just fine, perhaps you need a Reset to Factory Settings.

Okay. I checked the lead sheet after I change the turnaround to bar 1 and the repeat shows up there, however, when I scroll thru the music the 1st bar of the second chrous starts on bar 9 which what was the original turnaround bar.

Davida,

Have you double-checked to see if any of the tracks are frozen? If they are, there will be an asterisk beside the track name (e.g. *Soloist, *Guitar, etc.). If any of the tracks are frozen, it's not possible to get the changes to stick until you unfreeze them (right-click on the track name, e.g. Soloist, select unfreeze and then re-generate the song).

Regards,
Noel

Okay: got the answer from biab tech support. Had to copy the first chourus to the other two chorus and it now works. Must be a glitch in the song or program
