Hi Fellas, sorry for the delay ........... day gig!
So, I did finally read the correct instructions and got a file that works.
since the Forum doesn't allow for attachments these links should get you to Google Docs where you can download the files. The audios are .SGU files.
The first is the screen shot of the file as written which did not play the repeats correctly as you hopefully will hear on the "This one doesn't work file"
The 3rd file is a .SGU file that did work.
davida here's what I did and Jazzman if you have a quicker method please share.
1) Deselect the Fakebook checkbox which is right below the tiny Memo button and don't set up an intro
2) Type in the changes up to the bar where you want to set the first ending. For Example, you have 12 bars to the repeat sign and the First ending bracket will be at Bar 11, so type in bars 1 thru 10.
3) right click on Bar 11 and from the pop up window choose "Repeats/Codas/1st-2nd Endings". Hit OK. that will put a first ending bracket at bar 11 (it defaults to a 2 bar ending). Then type in bars 11 & 12.
4) You now have 10 bars greyed out on the chart which represent the repeated measures. copy bars 1 thru 10 and paste them into the greyed out bars.
5) Now type in the rest of the chart. You also have to tell B in B how many bars are in the CHART including the greyed out bars. that's I think in the song Settings dialogue under the edit menu.
6) Now you can go back and select the fakebook checkbox and it will look like a normal chart. You can stick on an intro now too.
Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess Codas and multiple ending/repeats is the next task.
