Thanks, I solved it.

Cannot really say what did the trick but after changing the drivers, mucking about with Windows 7's directing output/input even ASIO/MME switches I managed to get it it such a twist that RB hung up and I aborted via task manager.

When it fired up it asked if I wanted to start with all defaults and I chose YES.
I then went through the motions settting up MIDI and AUDIO drivers and it worked!

Strange thing is I could not find the "return to factory settings" for RB?

Just finished a recording of Ian Tyler's "Four Strong Winds" for a friend. I heard Neil Young the other night on a music show show with Emmylou Harris and it has stuck in my brain!

I used my Digitech Vocalist Live4 with the Eaglets 2 harmonies on the chorus to bring in the background singers! I am very happy now .....
