I originally made this post in response to another post!

Ever since my 2011.5 update I can't rebuild my song list. I get the box come up as it starts to scan, with the red/green bar - but it stops at song 19. The rebuild itself continues for a while longer, like it's going to finish anyway, but then stops with the message:

"Access violation at address 00A10942 in module bbw.exe. Read od address 00000348 at 00a10942."

I tried removing the first 19 songs and then doing a rebuild and it reached song 48 before locking with the same message.

Strangely, it only seems to do it with the " My Songs" folder. I have many other song folders and they all rebuild fine.

Consequently I have to use "open" rather than the song button in BIAB as none of my new material is showing up in my songlist, though they are all there in Windows!!

I've tried deleting the "songlisttemp4.bin" but this made no difference.


What I've done now is created a new folder and I'm cutting and pasting my songs into it 5 at a time. I then hit the rebuild button in this new folder and see how far it gets.
Once it stops I then remove the last five, then add them back one at a time, re building each time.

So far I have found 10 of my songs that BIAB doesn't seem to like having in there. Yet they are all songs that have been in there a while. Some for years.

I have no idea why BIAB suddenly doesn't like them. My next step will be to open them in BIAB from the old folder and re save them in the new one to see if this makes any difference!!

At the moment I can't see any connection between these songs as they all use different styles

UPDATE: The connection seems to be that all the "problem" songs have frozen tracks in them. As long as these songs are kept in a different folder it works ok. As soon as I save a new song with frozen tracks it refuses to rebuild again and I have to remove it.

Any ideas why this should be so??
