I joined the FAWM challenge again this year. Write 14 songs in the month of February. Last couple years, I killed myself trying to make the demos have a little bit of shine on them. Not this year - just write.

I'm going to follow a kids and humor theme this year most likely.

First song plays off of pghboemike's post earlier about the Sensitive Female Chord Progression. It's all over pop music these days. Coldplay uses it on at least a 1/3 of their songs. So, I wrote:

Scott Lake - Coldplay's Chordal Confessional

Lyrics I wrote during lunch eating my leftover pot roast. Then I just used the standard Sensitive Female Chord Progression (google it) with a little variety here and there.

I wrote these lyrics first yesterday, about a Goldfinch. Tonight, while strumming the acoustic - the song came. Simple, one take, one mic, clothes dryer running in the background.

Scott Lake - Goldfinch

Join in the FAWM challenge - it's not to late, to whip it - whip it good!
