Hi Folks!

Very strange deal here.

I've noticed that when I drag/drop midi tracks to my DAW, it does some interesting things:

1) Drops multiple clips (in this case, a BASS track consisting of 4 clips)

2) The channels for all 4 clips are different!

Imagine the cachophony (spelling?)

My Motif had a field day.

You know, I was just wondering...WHY...is this so? Really? Come now, this is flow prohibative and frustrating (hey, well, welcome to the world of PC recording right? LOL )

Just a heads up though: After a period of soul searching, I figured...what the heck, let me "merge" these clips into ONE.

You see, one track had "most" of the recognizable data (from the song", the other had bits and pieces...and one seemed to have nary a note at all.

Then, I noticed...hey the main section has about one bar that's dead...yet, the other seems to have data to actually FILL it...so...I figured, sure, go ahead and merge that puppy.

In my initial case, this seemed to work "OK"...for now.

Granted, I'm new at this...and I couldn't find any options (other than actually SAVING the file itsef (midi 1 or midi 0).

Seems RB has a mind of its own.

Crazy.
