There's inevitable apprehension first time you restore an image. This is proven, widespread technology, but it feels drastic at first. If you haven't done so, I urge you to do a trial run (restoring a non-crucial partition if you like), so it won't seem so awful when the inevitable emergency strikes. A dry run will assure you that your boot disk will work when needed, that your image is good, and everything happens as expected.

Once it gets to be routine, you can improve your state of mind even further by doing restorations at the first sign of trouble, instead of hoping the virus scan will work. You will not fear hard disk breakdown any longer.
