until recently I've always used a hard synth (which stayed permaqnently setup in my recording area)
Now that I'm getting modular and mobile for gigs, the synth and rack stuff is not always set up conveniently. So I needed a way to prepare MIDI in songs without going to a lot of setup hassle.

The recent thread on soundfonts led to many comments about the coyote forte, and so I tried it. Works for me.

The thing about asking sooner is, until a person knows what they don't know, they don't know what to ask. Forums help me to learn what other people know so I don't have to know what to ask.
