note: If you want keep MIDI thru going , but not see the notes, I don't think there's a way to do that.
But if your keyboard makes its own sounds, you You could try:
1. disabling MIDI thru. Prefs-MIDI Options- MIDI Thru. I don't have a keyboard handy, so can't verify if that will work for the piano display.
- or -
2. Unplug the MIDI Out cable from your keyboard.
