1)Fool it with Generate two bar ending"...then remove the ending, or
2)Check 40 choruses, instead of 1
Since I use this program to play 32 bars ad infinitum, I have to employ this trick in EVERY SONG I play. Any chance that a developer or someone influential can spot this old software glitch and correct it before 2012.
I can't be the only one

Can you elaborate on the choice of 40? Is this number significant, or is it simply to make it more (by how much?) than the desired number of choruses you want played?

I'm a jazz musician and this is a practicing program for me. I don't know how many choruses I will play. Before real tracks, I'd define 1 chorus, loop it, and play to my heart's content.
But from the advent of those great real tracks, this became impossible to do without extras steps due to a software glitch. Without a defined "ending" the final bar before the loop point falls silent. It's as if the rhythm section drops dead at the end of every chorus, only to spring to life again after the turnaround. To say this is distracting and unnerving... is an understatement.
Though the fancy footwork above can be employed as a workaround, it's time consuming and unnecessary. If the developers can be made aware of this long unsolved problem, perhaps before 2012, this squeaky Axel...will get some grease

That makes more sense now, thanks. I love the description of the rhythm section dropping dead, and springing back to life! It's just that I don't hear this like you hear it (though I am not disputing that you do).

I use BIAB for practice and solo gigs. If I enter 40 choruses and uncheck the loop button, there are no glitches between choruses. There's no need for the loop function. I play piano and EWI 4000s with Real Tracks. With the piano, I just use bass and drums and with the EWI, a trio for backup. I'm not certain why you would need the loop function. Maybe I don't understand fully what you mean. Later, Ray
