There's Nothing That You Gotta Say

(Previously called "It's Been An Honor")

The vocals are performed by Jason from StudioPros.com.

Jason singing, me on a backup track.:

Only me singing. (much better! :-) )

This song could really use a actual video, instead of the google-image montage.

If anyone is qualified (and interested) speak up.

All other tracks are from BIAB. Also used Reaper, Vegas and Sibelius in the production.

Lyrics:

There's Nothing That You Gotta Say

[1] Doc K.

Look out the window its a Ford
Doot dutin dutin dutin doo
and now I'm knocking on your door
don't let that mean old doggie loose.

I got some flowers just for you
I hope you really like them too
a vital service I provide
I bring surprises and delight

[CH]
There's nothing that you gotta say
There's nothing that you gotta do
it's prob'ly just to make your day
probably just because you're you.

It's been an honor just to serve you
(don't know who bought 'em at the store)
It's been a pleasure just to see
(I only bring 'em, nothing more)
that sincere look of gratitude
(it's pleasing ladies I adore)
Now I won't tarry anymore

[2]
BING! Elevator, flower man
doot dutin dutin dutin doo
A huge arrangement in my hands
Who am I gonna give 'em to?

So sorry girls, if I seem rude
Wish I had some for each of you
feels like I'm in a frying pan
I put 'em into Ginny's hands.

[CH]
There's nothing that you gotta say
There's nothing that you gotta do
it's prob'ly just to make your day
probably just because you're you.

It's been an honor just to serve you
(then the analysis begins)
It's been a pleasure just to see
(she gets the best of ev'rything)
that sincere look of gratitude
(how come it's her and never me)
Must be that guy from Albany

[3]
So guys what can I say?
Doot dutin dutin dutin doo
you wanna brighten up her day?
don't need no jewels or perfume.

When you get home you'll be the king
romantic looks, those kinda things
why in the world would you not
go to your local flower shop?

[CH]
There's nothing that you gotta say
There's nothing that you gotta do
it's prob'ly just to make your day
probably just because you're you.

It's been an honor just to serve you
(some say it couldn't be for me)
It's been a pleasure just to see
(some others try to hide their glee)
that sincere look of gratitude
(one lady just began to cry)

[OUTRO]
And now I really gotta fly
but hey I'm telling you no lie
it's just to hear the ladies sigh:
"MY OH MY!........"

A fun happy-go-lucky toe taper.

The only thing I might change would be the sax lead. The song flows perfectly until then. The starts and stops, along with the jazz sax, just didn’t do it for me. HOWEVER that is only my opinion and I’m sure others will disagree.

Having said that I still think this is a good song.

Hey Mario,

So maybe just skip the solo section altogether?

I guess I just thought it needed a 'middle 8' section to provide contrast, but now that you mention it, that part does seem to be of a different 'mood'.
