Hi Dave,

I agree with Bob.

Given your system, my plan of attack would be ...

1. Save the present setup using Opt | Save preferences as.This will allow you to easily reload them at any time.

2. Direct BIAB to the internal sound card rather than the external one.

3. Set the driver to MME (if you are currently using ASIO).

4. Exit BIAB so that the settings are saved.

5. Restart BIAB and see how it plays.

If there is no change. I'd go to Windows "Control Panel" (under the Windows Start Menu) and disable the User Account Control (UAC) to see if that was causing some problem. If the problem still persists, I'd re-engage (UAC).

Lastly, I'd leave everything set as above and then re-install the BIAB/RB installation file. (This does not require the Realtracks and Realdrums to be reinstalled.)

This leads me to a couple of other questions ...

(i) Do you run BIAB from the USB drive? If so, did you run the installation file on the USB drive and set-up BIAB so that it could run from that drive? (I've noticed on these forums that sometimes people have not run the installation file and it has been the cause of a number of problems. Often there's been a significant delay between first using BIAB and the problem's appearance.)

(ii) What ASIO driver have you been using?

Regards,
Noel
